348 Days To Ironman

Swam for the first time today, it was fast but it was tough.  I think I may be getting a bit sick so that could be the issue rather then not being recovered from Ironman.  Swimming generally comes back way faster than everything else.  We will see later in the week when I swim again.

Update: Got home today at around 8:00pm after a long day of work and went right to bed. Slept until 7:30 the next morning and felt destroyed.

349 Days to Ironman

Morning ride that was my first ride since Ironman and it was more of a struggle then I thought I it would be.  I got in less then an hour since I had to be at a meeting first thing in the morning.  I just felt tired from my run yesterday and feel like I will be struggling all week to get back into the swing of things.  This week will be primarily about getting on the bike, in the pool and run, not to "improve" by any means.

350 Days To Ironman



I have a dream of actually keeping this blog up to date with my training log for Ironman training.  With 350 days to my next Ironman I'm considering this the first day of training leading up to that race so it seems like as good of day as any to start the blog again for the 100th time.

Workout:
Run: 4.58 Miles, 47:12 minutes

Summary:
Given it's only 3 weeks from Ironman Wisconsin I'm not feeling 100% yet.  The plan is to spend the next few weeks doing medium intensity workouts to maintain fitness and keep my weight down. Ideally I would like to get into a routine of pushups, situps and some weight training to stay tone.
